Why WhatsApp is So Unpopular in the USA?

Today we will discuss how popular WhatsApp is in the rest of the world yet Americans don't seem to be using this technology.

There are many reasons for Americans not using whatsapp.

It actually kind of comes down to this, The US is the largely insular market. Americans don't have many international friends as compare to U.K and rest of the Europ where crossing border is common. Infact less than half of the Americans have passport. 

There are some more reasons. Such as: Using email first, using instant messaging first among others.

Realistically though when someone asked few of Americans to connect on whatsapp. 

About half of them already have it despite being American and the other half look at him with a sort of detached puzzlement not really knowing what whatsapp is.

It never ceases to amaze native Americans that people in this day and age haven't even heard of whatsapp before. But they are people like that out there not digitally useless, they just haven't used an app before.

There's also been a fair share of negative press about whatsapp online. And in the US media this is another reason why a lot of people over there haven't really adopted it.

Let's put the brakes on for a second and remember that whatsapp has some of the best encryption around. 

And yes it is owned by Facebook. The big corporation that everybody seems so intimidated by, but it is still a highly safe and highly reliable messaging system. 

There are also Americans who use whatsapp and whatsapp business for themselves personally. They found that it's an incredibly useful tool that helps them reach to their friends their family even faster than before, and have found how useful it can really be. 

So instead of getting annoyed with people who don't use WhatsApp if they are from the USA just put the brakes on for a second and remember that not everybody needs every app all the time and encourage them to try it out. 

You should have the knowledge to explain to them why it is safe for them to use it. It's a great tool for communicating with people all around the world.

However if someone who just flat refuses to download whatsapp then use what they are using.

Be flexible. It's not all about which platform you want to use instead let them tell you for themselves.
