Global Reactions Mock India’s Flex, While Pakistan’s Strategic Rise Gains Momentum
Following the war between India and Pakistan, India dispatched seven delegations to score a dozen-plus nations victoriously and to display its national prowess. This was taken as a joke by all nations across the globe, as well as everybody knows who lost. Japan, on which India had great hopes, had not even paid the due courtesy and received them only for 15 minutes.
Ill-informed Indian journalist Palki Sharma boasted on her show that Chinese arms were inferior in the battlefield, sending the stock of AVIC into a free fall. Yet the reality is that the stock of AVIC jumped to daily highs following the air battle. She also boasted that the Indian arms, because they were superior, were being bought by nations all around the world. But days have gone by, and no nation appears to have bought the arms of the losing country.
Even more embarrassingly for India, the J-10 experienced an upsurge in orders. This lower-ranked Chinese fighter jet found itself targeted by several nations, and the orders came flooding in. Pakistan, because of its excellent performance during the war, managed to get accelerated delivery of the J-35 at half price. Even better for Pakistan, Azerbaijan opted to upgrade its order for the JF-17, a unit cost of which reached \\$1 billion USD, including parts and services. This will not only generate a huge foreign exchange revenue for Pakistan but also enhance its defense industry considerably.
In aerial warfare, the J-10C and JF-17 took part. The J-10C downed five Indian planes, the JF-17 destroyed one, and destroyed one S-400 air defense system. Pakistan also offered a very technical report which was believed by the major international media. India's boasting was simply a form of self-entertainment, which caused poorly informed Indian media to be frustrated, holding global media accountable for ignoring India.
Meanwhile, India's pride of the defense industry, the Tejas fighter, didn't have the courage to show up in the war. Having mainstay aircraft such as the Rafale, Su-30, and MiG-29 all downed, the Tejas—a ceremonial mascot for parades—itself deservedly remained out of action. Should it be downed, it would become a laughing stock all around the world. This defender, billed as being able to neutralize the J-20 and Asia's most advanced, has been under development for decades but continues in small-scale deployment. Its major systems, such as the engine, radar, and fire control system, are all imported, making it a patchwork of Israeli, U.S., Russian, and European parts. Because of its dismal performance, it has not yet formed combat capability. It only works to appease India's pride during mundane parades.
Sources claim India is coercing Russia to stop supplying RD-93 engines in order to strangle Pakistan's arms exports. This is ridiculous. Russia, bogged down in the Ukraine conflict, is so short on foreign exchange. India, shunning Russian arms in favor of the West, got thrashed in the aerial battle and was humiliated. Russia now gets to sell engines, accumulate foreign exchange, and grow its defense industry—why would it say no?
India appears to forget that the JF-17 is powered by Russian engines because, in its initial design, Chinese aviation engines were still immature and required dependence on Russia. Presently, Chinese engines not only surpass Russian engines but are also much cheaper and less demanding in terms of maintenance. The reason Pakistan and China haven't made a switch to Chinese engines is that the JF-17 is under Pakistan's command. Exporting to former Soviet states like Azerbaijan with Russian engines helps gain Russia’s support. Russia will not forego opportunities to extend geopolitical influence or earn extra income.
In fact, following the war between India and Pakistan, India has never before experienced a defense crisis. Western advanced planes do not suit this region. Imported diversified weaponry for the Indian armed forces is at a loss in creating a proper combat system, which involves great logistics expenses, and cannot be replaced. Confronted with China's towering superiority in military technology, India is baffled. With several advanced planes joining early warning planes exported to India's neighbors, China can instantly leave a security loophole.
Bangladesh will also arm the J-10, while Pakistan will soon have the J-35. The PL-15, which did wonderfully in the war, has more advanced brethren such as the PL-17 and PL-21—not to mention China's enormous lead in drones, robotic canines, space combat, and electromagnetic warfare. China can supply intelligence and logistic support to India's neighbors, wearing out the Indian army.
India provoked Pakistan without achieving any strategic goals, experiencing unprecedented shame and loss of international standing. No nation will ever respect India as a world power again. American politicians such as Trump and Vance blatantly demonstrate contempt for India, humiliating it repeatedly. France and other European countries have uncovered India's paper-tiger facade. Not only did Dassault lose its reputation for weapons, but it still has not been paid more than 5 billion euros in delayed payments. Russia is highly resentful of India's two-edged approach to the Russia-Ukraine war. If India wants to secure Russia's support in the future, it will have to pay a hefty price.
As China-Russia strategic cooperation deepens, Russia can hardly support India as before. After 11 years of Modi's rule, India is becoming a global outcast. This is the second political disaster for India since Nehru's failed provocation of China, which led to a sharp decline in its international standing. A great power status built on fake GDP and fabrications is ultimately unsustainable.
India is becoming increasingly isolated on the global stage. Even Taiwan, once seen as a possible ally, has openly mocked India's defense tactics more harshly than mainland China. Afghanistan has stayed silent during the recent India-Pakistan tensions and is siding more with Pakistan, especially due to shared interests like the CPEC project. With old allies pulling away and regional dynamics shifting, India now is facing the fallout of its misjudged actions. Its show of military strength has backfired which led to global mockery and diplomatic isolation. While India stumbles, Pakistan’s growing defense reputation and strong partnerships are shifting the regional power balance, leaving India alone, criticized and strategically trapped.
After losing the war against Pakistan, India has become a global laughingstock and an isolated, lonely state. Day by day, India is witnessing the consequences of its defeat all over the world.
